Slander and Backbit

"O you who believe! If a Fasiq person comes to you with news, verify it lest you harm people in ignorance." [AL-Hujurat : 6]

Assalamualaikum wbt to everyone. The topic that i want to share is about slander (fitna') and backbit (ghiba). I think that this issue is vital to the survival of our own ukhuwah islamiyyah and islam as the whole. Let's pray that we can avoid from these wrongful acts.

Gheebat (back-biting) has been defined thus: “It is saying on the back of a person something which would hurt him if he came to know of it. ” This definition has been reported from the Holy Prophet himself.

According to a tradition which Muslim, Abu Da’ud, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and others have related on the authority of Hadrat Abu Hurairah, the Holy Prophet defined Ghiba as follows:

“It is talking of your brother in a way irksome to him.” It was asked: “What, if the defect being talked of is present in my brother ?” The Holy Prophet replied: “If it is present in him, it would be Ghiba; if it is not there, it would be slandering him.”

Imam Shafi`ee said: "If a person wishes to say something then he should think before he starts talking. If there is good, then he should speak, otherwise he should not."

P/S : Attention to all sahabat and sahabiah, do not let those rumours and slanders destroy our ukhuwwah, our bond and make us weak and give up to continue the uphill struggle that initiated by Prophet Muhammad SAW and his companions....

Home ?? Selangor or Malacca...

At last, alhamdulillah, THANK ALLAH,  I arrived safely at home. Nothing much the difference at home. Only the jubilant scenery and the family gathering that I desired the most. In Malacca, "alone" is the best word that suit this life. The life of a ghuraba'. Haha. It is the kind of tarbiyyah that I have to beat to stay competent. Although sahabat and sahabiah are there, but I hardly feel their presence in life. It feels good when we were all involve in an event and meet in special occasion, but when we look life as a reality, we hardly treat each of us as true friend when we meet in our routine life. That's our major mistake in friendship, or so-called UKHUWAH. In contrary, life at home is no way "lonely". Plenty of people here, living not far away from each other. But, tarbiyyah is the big issue. Comfortable surrounding makes me sometimes feel good, feel pampered with life till being ignorant and forgetful about the life of a da'ie. Let's pray that this young lad can be persistent in this journey full of uphill struggle and finally able to grasp the precious peace of price that Allah already promised earlier. InsyaAllah

Wounds

Although the wound
Separate us
The bloodlines
Still crawling
And loafing around
Like a stray being
Only the love
That moisturized underneath my sinned soul
By chance helps me
Seeking for happiness and life full of magic
Even my heart
Demanding me to conceal this suffering
Such as this ‘creature’
That being haunting me with horror and pain
It can’t withdraw our strong and tight bonds
Not even the chronic one
I have to be mature and judicious
There are people
That sickness tramples their loyalty
With difficulty
Through tarnishing their freedom
Vanishing their futures
I have to be strong
Massively strong
In order to stand high
And survive this temporary dimension

Are we a true BELIEVER???

Several scenes depicting the enormous Tsunami that hit the Japanese continent last month.

ALLAHUAKBAR!!!
THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH!!!

“But it may happen that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and it may happen that you love a thing which is bad for you.  And God knows and you do not know!” (Al-Baqarah:216)

Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, “We believe”, and that they will not be tested? We tested those who went before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false. (Al-Ankabut, 1-3)

A Story With A Moral… True Love For Rasulullah (SAW).

A Jew lost his invaluable ring and accidentally a poor Muslim man found it. When this Muslim came to know that it belonged to the Jew he went to return it to him. The Jew smiled and asked him: “Do you know its value?”
The Muslim replied: “Yes.”
“You found this and you are also poor and needy!” said the Jew.
“Yes you are right.” The Muslim replied.
The Jew asked “Did it not come to your mind that by selling this ring you can live a comfortable life as you had an excuse that it belonged to a Jew?”
The Muslim asked him, “Why should I have thought that way?”
The Jew continued to ask, “Why did you return this ring to me when I was not knowing that you had found it?”
The poor Muslim replied: We believe in the Day of Judgement. I told myself that if I do not give this ring to the owner, then during the accounting of the deeds of the people on the Day of Judgement my Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) and your Prophet Moosa (AS) would be sitting together and you will be complaining about this to your Prophet Moosa (AS) and then your Prophet Moosa (AS) would complain to my Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) that a person from your Ummah has done such an act. And at that movement my Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) would not be able to answer. I have returned this ring so that on the Day of Judgement, My Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) is not put in an awkward situation.”

Moral: Think like a MUSLIM, act like a MUSLIM and love ALLAH and RASULULLAH (SAW) like a true MUSLIM.

Sacrifice

A couple of weeks ago, i am struck by a lightning words, words that come from a person that i labeled as brother. He quoted that, "Those who understand, will surely able to sacrifice and give everything to the "family". Malacca is a place for tarbiyyah, but Kelantan is for those who wants to savour the victory. That night i started to measure my understanding, knowledge and application to the "family" itself. Am i one of those who understand? Is this journey full of uphill struggle is the correct path for me? Is this slender knowledge that i possessed could be enough for me to be persistent in this path of da'wah. I dont know if the word, "sacrifice" suits me well. Still there is the phrase "hubbud dunya, wal karahiyatul maut" beneath, lies inside me.... A sacrifice is a big contribution... i still far away to reach the sky, and the stars... Plenty of things to be learn in life... and to be istiqamah in life... is the most difficult part in my life...

So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. (Al-Imran : 139)
