Slander and Backbit

"O you who believe! If a Fasiq person comes to you with news, verify it lest you harm people in ignorance." [AL-Hujurat : 6]

Assalamualaikum wbt to everyone. The topic that i want to share is about slander (fitna') and backbit (ghiba). I think that this issue is vital to the survival of our own ukhuwah islamiyyah and islam as the whole. Let's pray that we can avoid from these wrongful acts.

Gheebat (back-biting) has been defined thus: “It is saying on the back of a person something which would hurt him if he came to know of it. ” This definition has been reported from the Holy Prophet himself.

According to a tradition which Muslim, Abu Da’ud, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and others have related on the authority of Hadrat Abu Hurairah, the Holy Prophet defined Ghiba as follows:

“It is talking of your brother in a way irksome to him.” It was asked: “What, if the defect being talked of is present in my brother ?” The Holy Prophet replied: “If it is present in him, it would be Ghiba; if it is not there, it would be slandering him.”

Imam Shafi`ee said: "If a person wishes to say something then he should think before he starts talking. If there is good, then he should speak, otherwise he should not."

P/S : Attention to all sahabat and sahabiah, do not let those rumours and slanders destroy our ukhuwwah, our bond and make us weak and give up to continue the uphill struggle that initiated by Prophet Muhammad SAW and his companions....

Home ?? Selangor or Malacca...

At last, alhamdulillah, THANK ALLAH,  I arrived safely at home. Nothing much the difference at home. Only the jubilant scenery and the family gathering that I desired the most. In Malacca, "alone" is the best word that suit this life. The life of a ghuraba'. Haha. It is the kind of tarbiyyah that I have to beat to stay competent. Although sahabat and sahabiah are there, but I hardly feel their presence in life. It feels good when we were all involve in an event and meet in special occasion, but when we look life as a reality, we hardly treat each of us as true friend when we meet in our routine life. That's our major mistake in friendship, or so-called UKHUWAH. In contrary, life at home is no way "lonely". Plenty of people here, living not far away from each other. But, tarbiyyah is the big issue. Comfortable surrounding makes me sometimes feel good, feel pampered with life till being ignorant and forgetful about the life of a da'ie. Let's pray that this young lad can be persistent in this journey full of uphill struggle and finally able to grasp the precious peace of price that Allah already promised earlier. InsyaAllah

Wounds

Although the wound
Separate us
The bloodlines
Still crawling
And loafing around
Like a stray being
Only the love
That moisturized underneath my sinned soul
By chance helps me
Seeking for happiness and life full of magic
Even my heart
Demanding me to conceal this suffering
Such as this ‘creature’
That being haunting me with horror and pain
It can’t withdraw our strong and tight bonds
Not even the chronic one
I have to be mature and judicious
There are people
That sickness tramples their loyalty
With difficulty
Through tarnishing their freedom
Vanishing their futures
I have to be strong
Massively strong
In order to stand high
And survive this temporary dimension
